I’m stepping up to restore sight!
Less than two years ago, I started working at The Fred Hollows Foundation - and it hasn't taken me long to see just how deeply every single person here cares about changing lives.
The work we do is inspiring. Something as small as a 20-minute operation — often costing as little as $25 — can restore someone’s sight. It’s hard to even imagine what that must feel like, but in the stories of incredible resilience that i see every day through my time here, i can see without doubt, it’s life-changing.
Fred believed everyone deserved the right to quality of life and spent his life trying to make that happen. That’s why I’m taking part in Fred’s Big Run this August — to show my support for the incredible work being done every day, and to help raise funds so more people can get the sight-saving surgery they need.
