WHY WE RUN

Fred was a man who
got things done.

Fred pushed for change and put in motion a legacy to end avoidable blindness across the world.

Like Fred, we’re working toward a world where NO ONE is left needlessly blind.

By taking part in Fred's Big Run, you'll be carrying on Fred's legacy to help children like Chansouk, who would have been left blind without help from The Fred Hollows Foundation.

So sign up now and step up to continue Fred’s incredible legacy this August by taking on a 150km, 100km or 50km challenge.

Your entry is FREE, so what are you waiting for?

I know you and all those people who believe in what I believe in will carry on.

FIRST TIMER

I'd never run more than 5km in my life. By the end of August, I’d done 100km. The hardest part was signing up, the rest was just putting one foot in front of the other to restore sight and change lives.

Kate Morrison
Ran 100km. Raised $3,000 to restore sight to 120 people.
LEGACY LEGEND

My grandfather lost his sight in a conflict zone with no way to reach him. Years later, I learned a surgeon had restored it, and I step up every year to help continue giving the gift of sight to others in his honour.

Nilakshan
Raised $7,700 to restore sight to 308 people.
