If you don't know much about the work. The top cause of treatable blindness is Cataracts. Cataracts is simply the clouding of the natural lense in your eye.

Kids are born with it sometimes in Australia and Newzealand but because we have surgeons and it gets done at 8 months old and younger.. You don't hear about it much. It's done and dusted and life moves on.

In a country with no surgeons it's a BIG problem!!

Fred Hollows was a legend who's not only restored sight to millions of blind people in the world by doing surgeries and training surgeons. But also has saved a lot of peoples lives. Going blind in a third world country is a death sentence. Avg. life expectancy can be 2 years in a lot of third world countries.

Donating will change someones life and potentially save someones life in a third world country.

$25 can fix up one eye. It's a fast surgery which can take as little as 5-15 mins time.

Some really good documentary's out there. This one below Joel Edgerton the Aussie actor and the FHF go to Nepal before Covid and restore sight to 85 blind people in one single day. Well worth the watch.
