I've never run the City to Surf before - in fact, I've never run further than across the road - and it was waay more fun than I'd dreaded. Very proud to finish 1/2 way up my age-group ladder, in 100 minutes and a few seconds. Mum told her doctor I'd done it, when I took her there for a check-up. Her doctor wanted to know my time then happened to mention that she'd last done it in 59 minutes. I'm on target for the 100km for this fundraiser. So far I've run a marathon (42km) in just 13 days. First run

1st August 9km At a slow jog, from my place round the Bay Run and back. I went clockwise, not sure why most people seemed to be going the other way but it meant that I saw a few people twice and we could exchange that semi-nod of recognition - meaning both (a) you look kind of familiar, and (b) we're amateurs faking it pretty well. I'm more confident of getting to the 100km, especially with the City to Surf next week. I've never done that before. Thank you for your support!
