Why the Hollows Foundation is close to my heart


Iā€™ve always been in awe of The Fred Hollows Foundation and all the work they do with restoring sight. Little did I know that I would require cataract surgery myself at a relatively young age (performed by the wonderful Dr Patrick in Launceston last year).Ā 

I realise I am very lucky to be able to have this procedure done well before I experienced cataract blindness like sadly so many people do.Ā 

Ā Fred believed that everyone deserves their sight, no matter who they are or where they are living, and this is at the heart of everything the foundation does. Thank you for supporting my challenge and ultimately helping to restore sight xx

I'm taking on Fred’s Big Run this August to STEP UP TO RESTORE SIGHT! 

My goal is to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation to continue the legacy of an Australian legend, Fred Hollows. 

Because right now, 9 out of 10 people who are blind don't need to be...

And an operation that costs as little as $25 can help restore sight to someone who is needlessly blind, and change their life forever!
