Hi everyone! I'm back for another month of walking for a good cause... actually, two this time!

This August I’ve set myself a big goal of 200km – 100km for Fred’s Big Run and another 100km for Pawgust supporting Guide Dogs NZ. You can check out the Pawgust link on Facebook if you're interested in supporting both.

To make it even harder on myself (as usual!), the 200km will be tracked walking only – no total daily steps, just proper walks that I start and finish on purpose.

I know it sounds a bit crazy, but honestly I haven’t really stopped walking since February. These fundraisers have been such a great push to get outside (even in winter!), move my body and fall in love with walking. This year I’ve been focusing a lot on my health and making movement a priority and I’m really proud of how far I’ve come.

Fred’s Big Run is all about restoring sight. 9 out of 10 people who are blind don’t need to be and something as simple as a $25 operation can change someone’s life. That’s huge.

I’d love your support. I know times are tough and money can be tight so whether it’s a donation, sharing my posts, or even joining me for a walk in August, I’m grateful for it all.
