I’m stepping up to restore sight!
This August I’m running 100km to raise money for the Fred Hollows Foundation, a charity close to my heart – I’m adding 5 extra kilometers for every $100 raised.
Growing up my Pappa (Finnish for grandpa) used to remind us how undervalued eyesight is. Being able to access treatment options when he needed them meant he was able to live independently well into his later years. His experience showed me just how life-changing access to eye care can be.
But for millions of people around the world, avoidable blindness is still a reality – simply because they can’t afford basic treatment. The Fred Hollows Foundation is working to change that, restoring sight and transforming lives in communities where the need is greatest. Just $25 can restore someone’s eyesight!
